Technical Validation Agenda Pack
A 45-minute technical validation agenda for DEFONEOS first meetings: data boundary, evidence shelf, control map, 90-day acceptance criteria, procurement route and post-call output.
Meeting objective
The validation meeting is not a product demo. It is a short evidence session that decides whether a 90-day sovereign pilot has a real route. The agenda keeps the conversation safe, useful and procurement-aware.
- Validate the buyer problem in their words.
- Validate the data boundary: public, synthetic, owner-approved, never classified in this public pilot.
- Validate the evidence route: which artefacts answer governance, security, technical and commercial questions.
- Validate acceptance criteria: what a pass looks like by Day 30, Day 60 and Day 90.
- End with one owner, one next action and one date.
45-minute agenda
| Time | Segment | Question | Output |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0 to 5 min | Confirm buyer problem and boundary. | What data can be public-source or synthetic? What is explicitly out of scope? | Boundary statement. |
| 5 to 12 min | Show evidence-room map and byte-verified public artefact. | Which evidence shelf answers your first assurance concern? | Selected proof object. |
| 12 to 22 min | Walk through data flow, logging, human oversight and owner gates. | Where would your team need manual approval? | Control map. |
| 22 to 32 min | Define 90-day pilot acceptance criteria. | What must be true by Day 30, Day 60 and Day 90? | Draft acceptance criteria. |
| 32 to 40 min | Commercial and procurement route check. | Which vehicle or stakeholder path is realistic? | Route candidate. |
| 40 to 45 min | Close with next step and evidence owner. | Who validates the notes and by when? | Named next action. |
Pre-call checklist
Run these checks before offering a technical validation slot.
| Check | Command or action | Pass condition |
|---|---|---|
| Vercel health | curl the launch page and three evidence links. | HTTP 200 and local bytes match remote bytes. |
| Evidence object | Choose one of evidence room, technical proof, pricing, SoW, procurement route. | One link bundle only. |
| Boundary statement | Write one sentence excluding sensitive data and personal surveillance. | Buyer sees the boundary before demo. |
| Owner gate | Mark DSP, CE Plus, SC, DASA, DIANA, UKDI and first send as owner-gated. | No false completion claim. |
| CRM record | Create or update buyer record. | buyer_id, remit, next action and proof object populated. |
Technical validation questions
These questions keep the meeting grounded in acceptance criteria rather than platform hype.
- What decision would this pilot help you make in 90 days?
- Which evidence do you need first: governance, security, data flow, price, route, or demo?
- What data is permissible for a public-source validation?
- Which system boundary must we not cross without NDA or formal accreditation?
- Who owns the acceptance criteria?
- What would cause the pilot to fail safely?
- Which procurement or innovation route is realistic if the validation passes?
Acceptance criteria builder
Use case: [buyer words] Data boundary: public-source or synthetic only unless owner-approved route exists Day 30 acceptance: [first proof object works and evidence is logged] Day 60 acceptance: [buyer team validates workflow and risk register] Day 90 acceptance: [go or no-go decision with procurement route] Exclusions: classified data, controlled technical data, personal surveillance, kinetic targeting, endorsement claims Evidence owner: [buyer side] DEFONEOS owner: Nicholas Templeman Next action date: [YYYY-MM-DD]
Validation artefact map
Use the smallest artefact set that answers the buyer. The default set is three public links and one owner-gated note.
| Buyer concern | Artefact | Meeting handling |
|---|---|---|
| Governance | JSP 936 mapping plus BFT council route. | Explain designed control route and owner-gated certification. |
| Security | Evidence-room index plus threat model page. | Keep to public posture and CE Plus owner gate. |
| Technical proof | Sensor layer, MCP registry and byte-verification outputs. | Show public artefact, not internal secrets. |
| Commercial | Pricing card and 90-day SoW. | Frame as draft until buyer route validates. |
| Procurement | DSP walkthrough, DASA route, G-Cloud bundle or acquisition pathway. | Do not imply eligibility until Nick completes owner gates. |
| Demo | Live demo fallback script and public digital twin page. | No operational sensitive data. |
Post-call output
The meeting must produce a clean artefact within 24 hours.
- A six-bullet meeting summary in buyer words.
- One selected pilot route or an explicit no-route decision.
- Draft acceptance criteria for Day 30, Day 60 and Day 90.
- A link bundle of no more than three public artefacts.
- A CRM update with signal score, proof object and next date.
- A SoW draft only if the buyer confirmed route, owner and use case.
Agenda variants by buyer type
The same 45-minute spine adapts by buyer type. The owner changes the lead proof object, not the boundaries.
| Buyer type | Lead question | Lead artefact | Validation close |
|---|---|---|---|
| AI assurance lead | Which control evidence would make this credible enough for a small public-source validation? | JSP 936 mapping and BFT governance route. | Agree a control owner and a Day 30 evidence review. |
| Technical architect | Which interface and data boundary would make a safe pilot possible? | Technical validation agenda and evidence-room index. | Agree data-flow diagram and integration boundary. |
| Procurement owner | Which route could buy a capped validation without over-scoping? | Procurement vehicle map, pricing card and SoW. | Agree candidate route and missing eligibility gates. |
| Prime partner | Could DEFONEOS sit as a sovereign assurance work package rather than a competing platform? | Partner work-package framing and public evidence pack. | Agree stakeholder map and referral owner. |
| Civil-resilience owner | Can the demonstration stay public-source and useful without personal-surveillance patterns? | 999 integration page and public-source boundary statement. | Agree a non-sensitive scenario and acceptance criteria. |
Post-validation evidence note structure
Within 24 hours, the owner sends a small validation note. It should be short enough to forward internally without rewriting.
Subject: DEFONEOS validation notes — [buyer problem] Thank you for the validation session. My notes are: 1. Buyer problem in your words: [text] 2. Data boundary: public-source or synthetic only unless a formal route exists 3. Evidence object selected: [one to three links] 4. Day 30 acceptance criterion: [criterion] 5. Day 60 acceptance criterion: [criterion] 6. Day 90 decision: go, no-go, or route-to-procurement Owner-gated items remain: DSP, CE Plus, SC, DASA, DIANA, UKDI and any external certification claim. The next useful step is [single dated action].
Operator note
This additional operator note exists to make the page self-contained when opened without the rest of the DEFONEOS pack: if the owner cannot explain the next action in one sentence, the correct move is to pause, classify the buyer state again, and send nothing until the proof object is clear.
12-framework crosswalk
Use this crosswalk when the buyer asks whether the operating artefact can become assurance evidence. It keeps the page honest: designed controls are named as designed, live proof is named as live, and owner-gated claims remain gated.
| Framework | How this page maps |
|---|---|
| EU AI Act | Human oversight, transparency, risk management, logging, technical documentation and post-market monitoring vocabulary. |
| GDPR | Data minimisation, lawful basis, purpose limitation, retention boundary, access logging and contact-note minimisation. |
| JSP 936 | UK defence AI assurance framing, safety case discipline, human responsibility, evidence pack, review gate and escalation path. |
| JSP 440 | Protective security discipline for information handling, marking, distribution and no-sensitive-data public-pilot boundary. |
| NIST AI RMF | Govern, Map, Measure and Manage actions tied to buyer signals, evidence quality, risk owners and response cadence. |
| ISO 42001 | Management-system responsibilities, review cadence, audit trail, competence, roles and continuous improvement loop. |
| NIST PQC | Migration-aware crypto language, no promise of final PQC certification, signature and ledger route designed for future algorithm agility. |
| NATO STANAG | Interoperability mindset, common vocabulary, coalition-safe evidence, no national endorsement claim. |
| AUKUS Pillar II | Design-compatible dual-use AI assurance language, no partnership claim without signed letter. |
| OSCAL | Control evidence can be exported into a machine-readable SSP later; this page is the human operating sheet. |
| Five Eyes ITAR §734.7 | Public-domain and open-source evidence boundary; no controlled technical data, no classified material. |
| C2PA 2.0 | Future media provenance route for screenshots, demos and proof bundles; public page links remain the low-friction evidence trail. |
Honesty register
The register below is deliberately explicit so the artefact stays usable in a UK-sovereign procurement conversation without overclaiming.
- This page is an owner-executable operating artefact, not legal advice, not government endorsement, and not a submitted procurement response.
- AUKUS-compatible means design compatibility only. No AUKUS partnership, DAIC certification, NATO endorsement, DASA award, or MOD approval is claimed.
- DEFONEOS-SEAL is not issued here. Any credential requires the 33-agent BFT council quorum plus owner-gated authority.
- No kinetic-targeting, strike-package, find-fix-finish, kill-order, face-recognition, phone-location, or individual-tracking pattern is included.
- Buyer names and public bodies are routing examples from public procurement context. Nick must verify current named contacts before sending.
- All external communications remain owner-gated. JEEVES may draft, verify, package and log, but Nick presses send.
- SIGIL anchor is local until the SOV3 ledger response is attached to the tick record.
